Our Learning Culture

Mont a l’Abbé School’s Professional Learning Community ensures that best practice is at the heart of every practitioner’s planning, reflections and professional development. We value peer collaboration, sharing teaching for learning ideals and continued CPD at the centre of our practice and processes.

Teacher lead their teaching teams to develop comprehensive planning that makes explicit starting points and next steps for all learners. They are the respected leaders of their classrooms. The teaching teams strive to know the learners exceptionally well. Throughout the day, all moments are viewed as teachable moments. The teaching teams form excellent relationships with families. The teaching teams are supported by the Senior Leadership team to ensure collaborative thinking in line with the school development plan.
